This Preliminary Certificate course is for anyone seeking an introduction to the world of teaching English to speakers of other languages. The programme consists of a study skills module and three introductory units each comprising three separated modules.

The first covers The Practice of TESOL. The Second unit introduces The Teaching of Pronunciation and the third deals with Language Awareness. Holders of the Cerificate may use the ACTDEC Level 1 TESOL Assistant qualification tittle and the post-nominal designation Pre-Cert.(ES) TESOL.
